Not able to install web-explorer

Not able to install web-explorer

Postby perkin-elmer » Mon Oct 17, 2016 10:11 pm

Hello guys, I have installed the fvdw firmware 16.1, but I am not able to install the web-explorer addon.
I get this message: "Mislukt: kan nieuwe versie niet downloaden, -99"
I also have to use an online hide IP website (smarthide) to get on your website.
can you help me out, because I like the web-explorer tool.
Thanks in advance

Hi perkin-elmer,

That means your NAS failed to connect to plugout site and it is normal if you have also this issue

So we just need to fix this last point.

I assume you use a static WAN IP.

Please to send a pm your IP or post at what time you tried to visit plugout with this IP
What is the returned error?

Note: for your information,
March 2014, Leaseweb was ranked in the top 31 world's worst hosts and networks based on malicious traffic it hosts.
I monitored these access from this provider and I have planned on the next spam attempt to block it (I already noticed from it several spam attempts)

Hi

I am not sure to have identified the IP rules but I removed some of them.

So try from home to access to plugout with your ISP provider and see what happens

We had another user reporting same issue that he could not connect to the plugout server, but I cannot find that topic on this moment

Hi perkin-elmer

You can instead thank Blurp21 who took the time to do the asked tests and be patient. Indeed as it was an issue on IP, tests could only be done on the user side...
Without Blurp21, the issue would be still here ;)

Not too nice your behaviour (as I waited a feedback from you since 22 October)
