Internet Radio

Hi, is it possible to add a media-server which can somehow connect to internet-radio-channels?
Or is one of the provided media-servers able to make a internet-radio-connection.

I am using the Twonky server now. Tried to add a m3u file with internet-address in it. But that file does not show up in my players.

[edit]
was easy to check out. The MediaThomb server can manage m3u referals to internet-radio station. (So now my Sony homesystem is not anymore exclusively dependent from vtuner). Super!

The Twonky server seems not to be able to manage m3u. Is that correct?

Hi JDZ01,

Indeed, mediatomb can do it but also slimserver.

---edit---
Twonkymedia should be able to do it.

You need to save a .M3U file in the same root folder as the Music

Yes, twonkymedia can manage internet radio channels.

You must save a playlist (m3u file) in any scanned folder but a music folder is more logical. In the m3u file, you must put your radio urls.

An example is available in the file radio.m3u saved in the share twonkymedia

Indeed I can see the m3u's in de playlists of Twonky. I do not see them in the directory-list.
However, my homesystem cannot play these m3u's delivered by Twonky.
The same m3u's delivered by Mediatomb are played without any problem.

There might be something wrong here. But for me this is a minor problem. I am glad things work at least in one way.

Thanks,
JacoZ
