no-ip DDNS period

Hi there,

I set the "DDNS period" in my LNS2 to 20. Nevertheless I get mails from no-ip that my account will expire, because no update within 30 days. What is the unit of "DDNS period"? I was assuming it is days.

Date of last update on the no-ip website matches with the date in the "DDNS status" field on the web-interface of my LNS2 and are indeed more that 30 days ago.

When I change the "DDNS period" field and hit the accept button, the "DDNS status" field shows today's date, but the last update field on the no-ip site is unchanged.

When I enter a wrong no-ip pasword, the error message says "no connection to server". I did not get any error messages in the steps above, so I assume it's not an account or pasword issue.

Any help?
Thx,

Stereomic

Unless you are using a paid no-ip account you are required to refresh your account every 30 days.

No the units of "DDNS period is minute. So the DDNS sercice checks every 20 minutes if your public IP is changed and sends a request to the provider only if your host domain must be updated.

So if your public IP have not changed for the last 30 days, no request is done
