Cloud services

Re: Cloud services

Postby Redleh » Fri Sep 12, 2014 4:17 pm

I have done the add-on of ther service Own-Cloud on my NAS.
But wen I try to access by my DNS, it says "You are accessing the server from an untrusted domain."
I can only access on local.
How can I solve this problem?

Thanks

Hi Redleh

I assumed that if you want to have a remote access, you have to use https protocol (for reasons that seem obvious... ;) Yes, I know that you are not an US star but ... )

In this case you have to enable the https server with a certificate set with your DNS (of course).

So you need to do it and run the shell script in a putty window
Code: Select all
/share/1000/fvdw/addons/owncloud-config.sh

Note: after this, you can also use the http protocol ...

Hi Jocko!

YES!! https, but with no successes.
I did all that, except the shell.
It must be that that's missing!
Like I said, I'm a amateur in this area. :dontknow

Thanks for the help, in short notice. :thumbup

Cheers.

Indeed, you must run the shell script to update owncloud settings

Hi k2v1n,

Maybe you forgot this warning
Important:
You can not log in the same time in ownCloud interface and firmware interface

So to check if it is your issue, try to use another browser that this one used to open the web-interface of fvdw-sl firmware (close the related tab is not enough: in this case, credential settings are always available)

You right, closing the tab is not enough. I can log in using the private mode of Chrome.

Thanks

Hi Jocko.

Is it possible to do an update to the OwnCloud server?
I have tried to do it over the browser, but getting the same error.

Upgrade is not possible. Make sure that your webserver has write access to the following files and directories:
/share/1000/fvdw/addons/owncloud/.htaccess

What can I do to solve this problem, if it is possible.

Thanks.
