Postby andrea » Fri Sep 04, 2015 11:06 am

Hello,
i'm using your firmware on my Network Space vs2 andi like it a lot.

Since i updated the firmware to 15 (i don't remember the exactly version number) i have a trouble with the web interface.
Sometime wehn ii try to log in the system open a page with yellow menu and i can't manage the nas configuration.
In the link bellow you can see an image of the page:

I uderstood that i must log-in in, but i don't know how to do that.
Thanks in advance for any answer.

Hi andrea,

if you get a 'yellow' web-interface that means that you are logged as an user and not as administrator with the login admin-nas.

See the user console access menu.

Thank-you for you answer but the problem still here..

I used the admin-nas account to log-in in the web-interface.
While i was tring to set-up the web explorer function the page automatic reloded and swithed to the yellow page.

Now the problem is that i don't know how to log-in in the web-interface.
I tried to restart the nas, delete the web-browser history, close and open chrome browser many times but the system doesn't show me the log-in form.
What can i to do?

Hello

My PC runs Windows 10 and i use Chrome as default browser.
The problem came up when i open the Web-Eplorer via the web-interface. Opening Web-explorer i log-in with a user that is not admin-nas and the web-interface of the nas (which is open yet in another tab of the browser) show me the yellow page.

I tried to use Microsoft Edge and i can log-in in the lan web interface, but the page doesn't very well. Some menus doesn't open the associated page. So i leave Microsoft Edge at its dead.

I installed a virtual machine with Sabayon linux as OS which use Chrome as pre-installed web-browser and i can log-in in the nas.

I leaved the nas off for 2 days and now i can log-in using Chrome in Windows 10.

Maybe the problem is related to the "couple" Windows + Chrome?

A little OT:
in Windows 10 there's no way to open nas's folders via Windows Explorer. The software ask me to log-in, i do it (of course with the right user name and password), but i receive an error window that say that the user has not enough privileges.
With Sabayon no problem, i can open/read/write folders in the nas.

Thank you for your support.

It is just a cache issue as you can login with another browser.
it seems that you did not have clean Chrome cache fully.

About Edge, we know this issue and we have restored support with this naked browser.

Strange as fvdw uses W10 without issue. Fvdw should confirm this point.

opening folders with Explorer works fine in windows 10.
Indeed first time you have to give username and password I unter my username and password as defined on the nas (note that linux username is case sensitive)

I seem to have the same problem with Safari and 16.1.1 on my cloudbox. Sometimes i land on the yellow web page and the log out button tells me to close Safari in order to log out. Closing Safari doesn't solve the problem. Firefox on the other hand works just fine. Is there a way to solve the Safari problem? I'd like to keep using Safari as all my passwords are saved there and its my daily driver.

Thanks in advance
Greetings form Germany!
