Hello, i donated today. Will there be an info from you about the donator access?

I have successfully installed fvdw-sl 18.3 on a Network Space 2 Lite and want to try out Samba 4.
With Samba 3 the speed is 13 MB/s writing and 40 MB/s reading.
With the last original LaCie-Firmware (networkspace2_2.2.12.3.capsule) it was 30 MB/s writing and 40 MB/s reading.
If i can successfully change the Samba-Version later i will post the speed with Samba 4.

Addition: Tests with Samba 4:
With Samba 4 (SMB3) activated on the NetworkSpace2 lite, the speed with a 1 GB videofile is:
writing: 21 MB/s, reading 72MB/s
That is a huge improvement over the 13 and 40 with Samba 3. :applause

I had to give the public share a password in order to access it from windows explorer as a netdrive. I presume, that´s because i deactivated SMB1 in Windows or it´s for higher security.
