The mountpoint of sda8 is wrong, did you edit the nas database?

no that is not the right one it is old default one not suitable anymore

the actual database is /rw_fs/etc
you must use
Code: Select all
cat /rw-fs/etc/nas_conf_db.xml

/dev/sda5 should be mounted on /rw_fs but in your "mount" output it is missing

The output should look like this
Code: Select all
root@nwsp2-3:/ # mount
rootfs on / type rootfs (rw)
/dev/root on / type ext3 (rw,relatime,errors=continue,barrier=1,data=ordered)
none on /proc type proc (rw,relatime)
none on /sys type sysfs (rw,relatime)
/dev/sda2 on / type ext3 (rw,relatime,errors=continue,barrier=1,data=ordered)
none on /proc type proc (rw,relatime)
none on /sys type sysfs (rw,relatime)
none on /dev/pts type devpts (rw,relatime,mode=600)
/dev/sda5 on /rw_fs type ext3 (rw,noatime,errors=continue,barrier=1,data=ordered)
tmpfs on /rw_fs/tmp/usr/var type tmpfs (rw,relatime,size=5000k)
nfsd on /proc/fs/nfsd type nfsd (rw,relatime)
/dev/sda8 on /share/1000 type ext3 (rw,relatime,errors=continue,user_xattr,acl,barrier=1,data=ordered)
/dev/root on /lacie-boot type ext3 (rw,relatime,errors=continue,barrier=1,data=ordered)
/dev/sda5 on /rw_fs type ext3 (rw,relatime,errors=continue,barrier=1,data=ordered)
root@nwsp2-3:/ #

something is wrong with your disk, this evening I have no time, tomorrow we will go further

I suggest you repeat the process to make a disk using the fvdw-sl console (version 5-3 with fvdw-sl-15-3)
Start the console, load the standalone kernel, delete all partitions erase all partitions using fdisk command
poweroff the nwsp2 (use command poweroff -f in the telnet client)
Now choose in the fvdw-sl console as action install fvdw-sl firmware action and follow the instructions
When the installer script runs, skip the step to make backup of the partitions, and choose for partition table ms-dos

ok,

i had used UIMAGE standalone , for delete all partitions on sda.
and i had restart fvdw-sl-console (fvdw-sl-console-5-3-15-1-18feb2014) to re-install firmware.
the disk is coming back and in the webgui disk setup, i have 1 disk with 928 Gb ... yes !!!!!

the webgui is online , i test differents options , and i see that :

In webGui page on the top left , i see "fvdw-sl firmware version 11-0"
and on the page "firmware update" they are "Current Firmware Version : nwsp2 fvdw-sl 15.1" strange , not ?

create user : OK
Create share : Not OK ( nothing to do when i click accept )
if i test "update firmware" , i have this message "The requested URL /system/system_upgrade1_lacie.php was not found on this server."

i continue to search ...

these kind of things happen when you do not clear the cache of the browser after installing the new version ! You brwser then still has some pages or parts of it in his cache from the old version
For IE close all windows of the browser and start it again, also this might be enough for firefox, but sometimes it needs more
(See also support for empty cache with Chrome)

yes , i had miss this information .
I'm very happy to retreive my NAS now it's work perfectly.

i congratulate you , it's a very good work and when "Lacie support" had responding to me :

Code: Select all
votre produit est hors garantie depuis le  01/04/2012 et est irréparable dans notre centre de réparation, puisque les produits hors garantie de plus de deux ans sont irréparables au centre d'assistance.

i had responding ," if you don't know how repair your disks , you can see on plugout.net . There are some professionals guys !"

Thks.
