Apologies for what may be a silly question but I have searched the forums and not been able to find an answer to my question.
I am trying to recover the data from a LaCie Network Space 2 that has 'stopped responding'.
It powers up ok but the blue LED just keeps flashing.
Other posts suggest this is because of their dodgy OS.
The disk looks OK (using Windows Disk manager) but obviously Windows can't read the files.
I have experimented installing the fdvw onto a spare disk before I attempt anything on the one with the live data and have mostly been successful but my overriding question is:
If I install the firmware image to disk (using fvdw-sl-console), does it retain the existing data files that were written using the LaCie OS?
or are they all lost?
As I say, apologies if this is a daft question!
