I'm trying to recover my spd 8020, no way to locate it on my lan :(.
I think the hard disk or db got corrupted, so I'm following the guide to repair my old hard disk, as stated here:
viewtopic.php?f=7&t=234&sid=72113c2abf23c02ce0cd5e748d0c1077#p1514
This can be used to install a bigger one or repair/replace a damaged one.
- So the first thing I need to do is to disassemble the hard disk from the spd8020 case;
- Then plug it to a computer (I can use a SATA to USB adapter), to make a backup of my files (if it is possible);
- Then I will setup the original hard disk as it were a new one.
Sadly, I'm currently stuck at step 1, because I cannot manage to extract the hard disk from its case :P
Quoting from howto-new-HDD-spd8020.pdf:
DONE Remove the two screws on the back and pull the interior out a little, be careful there is a small wire for the front panel attached to the main board. This needs to be disconnected before you can pull out the interior completely.
STUCK HERE Removing the old HDD is straight forward.
I post a picture, could someone show me how to remove the hard disk?
Thanks in advance, bye!
