Sorry to bump up such an old post but I recently purchased one of these cheap NAS devices and was wondering if there was any success getting the newer firmware running? Also I've been searching around and haven't found a download link for fvdw v5.1 yet so if anyone could point me in the right direction, I'd be very thankful.

when I ordered this thing I didn't realize it only supported FAT32 now I'm scrambling hoping I can breathe some ext3 life back into this mug :woohoo

thanks for replying despite how old this device is! since I'm a complete noob I didn't think it'd be a good idea to just flash the newest version of fvdw on this Dura NAS since v14.0 didn't work according to the original poster. I have 2 of these things and I do have an itchy trigger-finger right now but I don't know anything about saving this thing from a brick so I'm still just trying to be prudent.

should I just give it a go? just in case though, could you please point me in the right direction for v5.1? All I want these drives to do is be reliable ftp servers with large file support.

attached a disk partition image of fvdw5.1 for spd8020. You can use the prepare new HDD guide and package.
viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1750&p=13448#p13448
Only use the disk image in this archive instead of the one in the new HDD package to write to sda1 and sda2.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
