Postby loufleur » Sun Mar 07, 2021 10:15 am

Hey everybody, i´ḿ from Belgium and i have a lacie cloudbox 2T (white) and i am trying to install the firmware off fvdw-sl on my cloudbox with Wine because i do not have a windows pc, only mac and on that macbook i use a linux (zorin). When i try yo install the prog for the firmware install is does not work for me. Can it be done by using wine or do i have to look for another way.
Thx

Can you connect the disk you plan to use in the cloudbox to your pc running linux?

Furthermore your linux distro must contain following linux programs
dialog
dd
tar
mke2fs.ext3
mke2fs.ext4
mount
umount
xterm
gdisk
fdisk
and several standard linux commands which normally all distro's have

oke I see, I can make a linux script that can be run on the pc running linux that check presence of depencencies , but the requirement to connect a harddisk that will be used in the cloudbox to the pc running linux will remain for installing the firmware. After that you can put it in the cloudbox and it should boot
