Media player configuration

Postby matzi » Mon Oct 27, 2014 8:44 pm

for easy and comfortable access to media files I try to find a way for the following configuration:

-Media files on NAS (with fvdw firmware of course :-D )
-"Operating interface" on a PC
- A real Hifi Amp with Network capabilities

all three components are in the same network.

Is there a way to use the mediaplayer of choice and redirect its output to the amp (maybe by udp). The problem is that most media players do not have this feature to redirect the output. Look at win7 mediaplayer - it has this feature but it is more than unstable. Itunes had it in one of the older versions but I am not fan of it. VLC has a udp feature but its title search interface is too basic. My preferred player is winamp. Unfortunately it is discontinued and does not have the desired function.

So the question is if you know any tool that redirects output which is boind to the inegrated soundcard to another device in the network?
