Ip filtering on plugout.net ?

Postby Blurp21 » Sat Nov 12, 2016 8:05 pm

Hello guys,

Happy to see you back.
I was trying to reach you for a while but it seems that you are doing ip filtering.

Is it possible to let website reachable from Belgium ? As I have always 403.

Don't want to use vpn or proxy to come here each time.

Maybe other people doesn't have access...

Thanks,

Blurp

Thank you for this feedback.

I checked server's log and indeed you have been blocked on this IP 80.200.2xx.xxx. But I don't understand why as there is no rule to deny this IP :scratch

Hi Blurp21,

For this last Ip (62.235.x.x), I know why you got a 403 error:

You use wget without setting a standard user-agent.
Code: Select all
62.235.x.x plugout.net - [12/Nov/2016:20:47:09 +0100] "GET / HTTP/1.1" 403 202 "-" "Wget/1.18 (linux-gnueabihf)"

So no issue on this side.

About IP 80.200.x.x, you used it from a smartphone. I checked the user-agent and no issue with it. But do you use some data compression feature on your connection ? which set some headers for a proxy server. May be this can explain error 403
