Yesterday morning I had a working Lacie NWSP1 with original Lacie firmware, but it was very slow, buggy in the latest OS, lack of good afps support.

I enjoyed the treasure hunt for the files on this site, and the tricks to get it working. There was lots of head scratching!

I am now on 18-2.

One thing that did cause problems for me during the upgrade, is sometimes things would not work until I rebooted Twice. For some reason, the new kernel/interface did not always fully load on the first boot, so some features didn't work. Two reboots sorted it :)

Now its running as a FVDW- the ntp function works too :) that was broken on my Lacie NAS, and it would lose the time every reboot.


Next project, I would like to clone this to a 2TB SSD if possible!
