same way : unzip (but once) the archive in fvdw and read the file install-lacie-nwsp1-fvdw6-1-to-fvdw7-0.txt

step 8.0 to 9.0

This time, the archive don't have an instructions file...

So after unzipping the archive to the the share 'fvdw', you must have two files :
- fvdw-sl-8-0-to-9-0.tar
- lacie-nwsp1-upgd-fvdw-sl-8-0-to-9-0.sh

and do in Putty
a) set permissions of shell file:
Code: Select all
chmod a+x /share/1000/fvdw/lacie-nwsp1-upgd-fvdw-sl-8-0-to-9-0.sh

b) run the shell file:
Code: Select all
/share/1000/fvdw/lacie-nwsp1-upgd-fvdw-sl-8-0-to-9-0.sh

it should finish without error messages.

So reboot your NAS and close and open again your browser see if all seem ok

So before using the upgrade menu, you must clean fully the brower cache.
(Note : close all browser windows (also download window) is not enough with Chrome , you must clean manually it see https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95582?hl=en)

After cleaning, could you post a screen capture of the Lacie firmware menu.

in putty post these outputs:
Code: Select all
ls -al /
and
Code: Select all
cat /etc/init.d/rcS|grep sda1boot
