So You can now upgrade with the lacie firmware menu (be careful with version 9.0, you have also the menu for SPD8020)

Download the bin file for version 10.1 from viewtopic.php?f=7&t=235#p1493.
unzip the archive to get the bin file and upload it to the NAS by using the lacie firmware menu.

:thumbup
So the upgrade menu runs well and now you can directly upload the last version 15.0 (and after you should install a small patch about the LED menu)

Note : with the last versions, twonky 5.0 and oxylbox are not available

From web upgrade..... xfvdw-sl-15-0-nwsp1-28sep2013

The response :

Firmware upgrade step 2 started...
Firmware upgrade failed, upgrade process aborted, reason:
fw upgrade found platform file firmware package differs from that on running system

Ok

xfvdw-sl-15-0-nwsp1-28sep2013 archive on the board is right because for testing I tried with it to upgrade my old nwsp1

Post the outposts of
Code: Select all
cat /etc/platform
and if you didn't make a reboot since time where you try to update
Code: Select all
cat /tmp/PLATFORM

Ok

Do you sure that you use the version 10.1 ?
After installing 10.1, do you restart the NAS ?
Please post these
Code: Select all
ls /lacie-boot
;
Code: Select all
cat /boot.log
;
Code: Select all
 cat /etc/fvdwversion
