Postby i-zerocool » Mon Sep 12, 2011 7:32 am

hello,

is it possible to change the hard drive with a 2TB and by retaining the original firmware Lacie v1.1.8 ?

I have copied all partitions with succes.
the NAS boot, I go to the admin web interface but the XFS partition is not seen.
in the logs I get the message: XFS bad version

thank you for your help

I think that I cannot really help you with that, I have no nwsp1 myself and no experience with the original firmware.
But it seems there is a mismatch with the XFS format version used on your partition and the one that the kernel wants to use. This could be either that you didn't restore the original kernel or have formatted the XFS partion (I belive it is partition 2 on the original firmware) using a different version as the kernel uses. But as said I am no expert in this I am only guessing here.

I have solved my problem:
I format the data partition sdb2 in EXT3 with GParted
I have booted the NAS, and in the admin web interface the partition is seen !
I have formated with from the admin interface (in XFS)

and it's all good !
