Reboot time after upgrade

Reboot time after upgrade

Postby benji1984 » Tue Nov 06, 2012 11:02 am

Hi,

I have upgraded from 12-0 to 13-0 today. How much time does it take to reboot the device after the upgrade was completed on my SPD8020?

It doesn't seem to come back up again. I'm working on it remotely, so I can't see what is happening.

Okay, looks like I bricked the device :) What can I do to recover? Do I need to repartition ? If so, in what format?

Okay, my NAS seems to be stuck in "Step 3 - Reboot", just like fvdw states in this topic: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=891
Does this mean that there is still a good chance the device will be back up when I do a hard reset by switching it on and off?

yes, if step 2 was completed successfully then it should boot ok.
Assuming it is mentioning step 3 performing reboot and the blue leds are all steady on then the reboot failed for whatever reason, teh just disconnect power and reconnect it.

at first, thanks for your work and your quick answer.

I cannot say exactly, what was the problem - I downloaded your Firmware again....

what did I do with the SPD 8020.
I wrote the image sda1 and sda2 to the SPD8020 - then I had an access with web interface, but it was not possible to make an update (Error message).
After I wrote the image sd5 to the SPD8020 - the update was running and successful.

guess smo allready have a solution. do you have any idea where to find those images? and also what ttol to write them to the hdd? smth like a partition manager?
thanks beforehand
