SPD8020 - not able to install firmware version 9 or 10

in worst case you can try the procedure to prepare a new HDD, which i would recommend anyhow, this because if you are stucked with 3.0 because of small system partitions then still you don't have much gained and you can not upgrade to the newer versions. for that repartitioning of the disk is required in the case of too small system partitions.
In the download section you can find all data and files to prepare a harddisk (for instance see sp8020 10-1 firmware topic)

the ip scanner I posted is for windows OS

Hi Ali

what you ask is not possible at the moment. But what would it bring extra?
you can make as many shares as you want and they will use the free disk space as available. You can also make privat shares and give each user read/write rights as you like

I want to use a part of the disc as data storage for observation cameras.
When the disc is full the camera will delete the oldest file in used folder.
Thats why i need discspace with predefinated size.

In principle it could but for that software drivers must be included. However the RAM (system memory) of this spd8020 is too small to let it work as printerserver together with all the other jobs it has to do.

@Ali
I see, unfortunate not possible in the current firmware to have more partitions. maybe your webcam software has some features to delete files based on date

That is sad.
Can i make a Firmware-wishlist only for me? ;)
I only need a Samba,FTP,Twonky-Mediaserver and Printserver.
