to apply a FW patch ...

Dear Jocko, dear fvdw,

actually every patch.zip file has to be available on the "fvdw"-share to be installed with the "unzip" command.
Getting the files onto the share is a bit "inconvinient". How I do it now: I copy the file on the NAS, start putty, a long long copy command (örgs), back in web interface, unzip the stuff, done

Ideal for me (a windows user) would be to open a file selector which can be pointed to my windows drive C: or D: (whatever), pick the file and copy it to the destination where it should be. Entering "unzip" isn't a problem :)

Is it feasible to implement ?

Thx

Hi wd9895

There is no need to use the complicated way you describe.

Why don't you save the patch files directly in the "fvdw" share using windows explorer ?
It is a shared folder visible in explorer, of course you must set write rights :whistle

ps the web interface is generated by the web server running on the nas. The nas is not aware of folders on other computers unless you made a remote share.
