No database in minidlna after update FW / spd8020 to 15.0

no thats not normal during rebuilding it should flicker now and then and HDD should spin

ps did you set the folders scan properly ? in the sub menu of minidlna (it is anew setup in 15-0)

PS:
After I include the public share (why is it disappeared) the rebuild of the database is running successful.

Can you send the me a patch to restore the original MiniDLNA version 1.1.0. please?

Hi fvdw,

thank you for your excellent Support.
Everthing is working fine now.

One Problem in the morning, I have had Access via Total commander to public share but not via FTP to any share.
So I was not able to copy the .zip to the fvdw share.
I had to reset the NAS by the lower button. A power down / power up did not work.
This behavior happen the first time.
Was it a glitch or serious.

no idea Tom, if it is working ok now don't worry about it.

But why use ftp ? You can also just open the fvdw share (if you have given yourself write and read access in samba) using explorer (so not internet explorer) to put the file in the fvdw share.

I have performed the start and checked the Funktion on TV found ok.

The status on the Information- and the minidlna pages shows activated.
After a restart or a shutdown with manual start the status on the pages above shows deactivated.

Due to the Manipulation with the differend Versions I started successful a complete new Installation.
The result for the Status is the same like above.
Now I checked the function of the minidlna on TV - it still works fine.

Can I do something?

I get access to the public share only via an Explorer (Windows7 or Total commander).
All Shares have Samba and FTP and are public marked.
All my usernames and Passwords I have tried , nothing works.
What can I do to reset all the shares to Default and how is the defalt PW?

All my other shares I can reach via FTP only.

so where did you find that it is disabled ? (you mention information and mini dlna pages shows activated.

After a restart or a shutdown with manual start the status on the pages above shows deactivated.

That happens if you did not set "enable at boot option". Youy can see in the information wheter or not it will be enabled at boot. You can set it on the minidlna configuration page

If the shares are marked public there are two options eiether you have set it protected or not protected.
If you set a public share as protected you need to read the help menu from the shared folder menu to see what user and password to use.

if you want to use the shares and assign rights per user you have to set them "privat" and give each user r or r/w right per share

This is part of the table and the result after the 2. restart .
No Settings have been changed by me.
After the first start the Status of Minidlna Server is red crossed, but working on TV
- now after the 2. start the FTP Server is OFF (nicht Aktiviert) also, and not working like it should.
As you can see they are enable at boot Option.

Note: current with this Settings there is no FTP Access possible

Note: current with this Settings there is the use of MiniDlna possible

Edit: something is wrong with the time Settings.
2 german timeserver are in use 192.53.103.103 / 104 PTB Braunschweig.

The MiniDlna Log listed the following lines. You can see the step back to 2011 after power down.
Is this a know Problem? I have seen it since the Update in Dec. 2012.

About FTP,this means that with your current settings the FTP server failed to start when the NAS started and it will try at the next boot.

So in putty try to start it manually with this command
