Guys, excellent forum, i messed up my original home.htm file for my spd8020 could some one be kind enough to post me an orginal copy of this file, or even better the whole /usr/htdocs/ :) thanks

which version are you using ? They are different for the different versions

also you could solve it by installing the firmware again to get the original ones back.

where can i get the original firmware and instructions on how to restore via ssh for example? thanks for the reply. i think all i need is the home.htm (removed it by mistake...)

I have the original file and I can sent it you. Also an instruction how to get it on the spd8020 using ssh

attached th orginal home.htm file of the philips firmware
To get it on the spd8020 you can use following method assuming that the "public" shared folder of the spd8020 is visible on the network
Unpack the the zip file in that public folder connect with putty (ssh) and give command

cp /share/1000/public/home.htm /usr/htdocs/home.htm
