As you can see 5big office is not exactly same as on your 5big. But this person that tried to repair it should have had a reason why to make this scheme. :scratch
The issue is now what device do we have?

About your remark on bios.
Bios is in flash memory or cmos rom. Very unlikely that that is corrupt. More likely is the disk error mentioned by gdisk is the problem and of course if all disks are empty it cannot load firmware.
Now from what I know of lacie devices is that a 5big has been sold in two versions, one diskless and one with disks.
The diskless version contains a nand flash with basic firmware that is loaded to disk when inserting an empty disk. In this case empty means a disk without a partition table. If yours was originally a diskless one you could try this.
T,ake a disk, delete partition table using gdisk (don't forget to use "w" comnand to leave gdisk after deleting partition table to really erase partition table. And put this empty disk in your nas (most left slot) and see if it installs firmware. You should see a blue led on disk 1 after a while flickering with disk activity.

You are right.. it contains at the back 2 USB 2.0 - 2 USB 3.0 - One VGA - 2 network interface, so it's LaCie 5Big 1
i deleted the partition, now i have one only unallocated hdd 4 TB. shall i create partition or simply insert it into the NAS to give it a try?

here the steps i did:

1. delete all partitions
2. create one partition using disk utility in ubuntu under FAT32, i mounted the disk properly.
3. unmount the disk
4. put it in the left side and turn on the LaCie.
5. begin initialize by blinking the blue hdd led.
6. then the hdd led turned OFF but the front LED still blinking blue (in the front side)
7. no VGA output

step 2 should not have been performed, delete all partitions and insert it, so no partition table
The disk may not have a partition table

step 2 is re-configured to have unallocated 4TB.
same result when i re-inserted the HDD in his place.(first left)
i assume that this NAS contains ROM with the firmware because at least we should have a VGA output signal even without inserting any HDD in the back no? kindly advise.
(Still the front light blinking blue always) - in the back no lights (HDD LED)
