Indeed it will be better.
But from the fvdw-sl web interface, as soon as the feature requires to download a package from plugout, this feature is handled as an add-on. So samba4, exfat support, media servers (minidlna, twonky,...), p2p client, web-explorer...
Some features are not monitored from fvdw-sl web-interface but directly by shell command. It is the case with mpd, plex. These ones require also to download a package. So same thing as the previous point.
You can get this list by reading the file /tmp/addons-url. The file is present after loading for an add-on menu like transmission, minidlna...
