Hi

I think you have this known bug (fixed with version 18.2):
web-interface
Affected device: All nas
Affected version: fvdw-sl-18.0 and 18.1

feature: firmware upgrade
Bug: firmware may be corrupted with some inappropriate actions from the web-interface (do a page rollback or reload the firmware update menu whereas the upgrade script is still running).

fvdw-sl console will allow to understand what it happened

Then you have to run the action "Load standalone kernel" to get a telnet access on the nas. (https://plugout.net/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=3086)
Please to read this topic if you have some connect issues: https://plugout.net/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2645
(For a D2nw2 you need to use the kirkwood standalone kernel version)

When you are connected do:
Code: Select all
mkdir /sda7 /sda1 /sda2
mount /dev/sda7 /sda7
cat /sda7/boot.log
ls /sda7/lacie-boot

mount /dev/sda1 /sda1
cat /sda1/boot.log
ls /sda1

mount /dev/sda2 /sda2
cat /sda2/boot.log
ls /sda2

Note: it will be easy to go back before upgrading and your data are still here

Additional information.

It seems you made 4 fw upgrade attempts. Can you say what were the returned warnings at each step?

Hello!

Thanks for help.

In first attempts I recieved message after downloading all 5 files "not find necessary file" or something like it. This error was connected with roll-up patch11 viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2695&start=10#p29940
After updating this patch process goes to further steps.

Again thank you for help, I will try to connect to lacie later

seems there is no file system present on sda1
On sda2 there is a file system, hopefully that one is complte. Lets try if we can boot from there

try this using the standalone kernel and telnet access

Code: Select all
mkdir /sda7
mount /dev/sda7 /sda7
mv /sda7/lacie-boot/sda1boot /sda7/lacie-boot/sda2boot
umount /sda7

reboot the nas (reboot -f) and see if the nas boots and web interface is accesible

Hi

So you got an empty sda1 because you made some actions from the web-interface whereas the upgrade sequence was not ended

This issue is fixed with version 18.2 but to install the version please to follow all instructions : click on step3 when the firmware will ask you and do nothing else...

You need permissions for complete this operation. request permission from Unix User/nobody for changing this file.

What it can be?
