Hello.

I have lost connection with Lacie.
When I load standalone kernel it loaded sucsessfully and started telnet, and ... connection to 192.168.1.252/telnet timed out.

Wired connection between pc and lan ?

And if the kernel is uploaded do you see that in conosole window opened by fvdw-sl console?
If thats the case then possibly you selected the wrong standalone kernel??

If there is a disk problem it can take long before telnet can connect, so the timeout can be too short

Use the connect button of the telnet client to retry, use ip 192.168.1.252 (the default one)

Take out the disk, and again load standalone kernel. Can you now connect with telnet console?
(The standalone kernel runs in RAM memory and doesn't need a disk. This test will learn if the disk is causing the problem that telnet can not connect
