This because some user accounts are missing
- Code: Select all
Jun 26 22:31:14 kirkwood-4 daemon.err avahi-daemon[1639]: Failed to find group 'avahi'.
all these issues seems to happen because there is an orphan file
- Code: Select all
Jun 26 22:31:12 kirkwood-4 auth.err passwd: can't create '/etc/passwd+': File exists
Jun 26 22:31:12 kirkwood-4 auth.err passwd: can't update password file /etc/passwd
2/ You have an hardware issue with your disk seh

Jun 26 22:31:03 kirkwood-4 local0.warn API[2018/06/26 22:31:03] exthddfunc_wait_allmountExtHdd.finc(65)[918]: Found an orphan disk sei
with this message, the firmware removes disk settings for sei in the nas database whereas it was detected at the first boot steps :scratch
So first step, is to fix the user accounts issues:
Do
- Code: Select all
df /dev/sda7
chmod 777 /etc
rm -f /etc/passwd+
(pleae to post the outputs)
and reboot the nas (I assume you still have the debug mode)
but without the disk seh then post
- Code: Select all
dmesg
mount
cat /boot.log
cat /var/log/messages
