Dear Jocko and fvdw,
I saw that new firmware fvdw-sl-16-1 was released but I don´t know how to install it on LACIE D2 Network 2 device or which version I should install.
Can you help me with this?
Thank you in advance!

Hi azaranto,

You should have a firmware allowing to upgrade it by the usual way.

So install the package from this post http://plugout.net/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2313#p20274 (D2nw2 uses the same package than nwsp2)

Hi, Long time no see! I hope you are all doing fine!
I´m running Current Firmware Version : d2nw2 fvdw-sl 16.0 patched and I would like to know if the same procedure applies for my Lacie d2nw2.
Firstly, I need to install this patch fvdw-sl-16.1-upgrade-patch-30may2017.zip by using Upload Patch option at Firmware Update.
and Finally, I need to install the fvdw-sl-17-0-console-firmware-upgrade-30may2017 by uploading the file from Firmware option at Firmware Update Menu.
Is this correct?
Thank you in advance!

Hi azaranto

Nice to see you here again...
it is ok but download manually fvdw-sl-17-0-console-firmware-upgrade-30may2017 package and upload it on your d2nw2 to upgrade it is possible (old way)but now you can do it directly from the web-interface:

So yes install the patch fvdw-sl-16.1-upgrade-patch-30may2017.zip (and reboot the nas)

Then reload the web-interface and on the upgrade firmware menu you well see a "magic" to run directly the upgrade process...

Ty Jocko for your message!
While doing the upgrade I´m getting an error saying zip file inconsistent with your current firmware version (See screenshot)
I´ve copied both files to FVDW share.
Thank you in advance!

Hi azaranto,

The current version on your nas is 16.0.

So you need first to upgrade to version 16.1 and then upload the path

You do not have to do something else: d2nw2 is fully supported since version 16.0 :thumbup
