External NSF storage - how to make the NAS go to sleep

Postby Maxiride » Thu Jun 06, 2019 10:57 am

I have a Lacie Cloudbox with fvdw 17 installed and everything works fine on its end. Now I bought a Pi 3 (with Raspbian installed) and I wanted to mount my fvdw lacie via nfs.

I managed to mount the nas however the disk is always spinning, I suppose that is due to the fact that the Raspberry is always turned on, hence enforcing the mount by keeping the nas spinning. Are there workarounds for this?
