Hello,

First of all thank you for this job! :applause

I would like to use 1 USB HD already installed with another distrib (movies, music...) is it possible to connect it and use data?
How can I do that?

Thanks.

Hi elthi,

The usb partitions are handled in 2 ways by our firmware on a rspb according with the fs used

- with fs ext3/4 or fat32, the partition is mounted on /share/20xx. Then you need to create shares for each root folder stored on this partition but you may create a share only if foldername contains the characters : "a-zA-Z0-9_-"
The other folders can not be shared by the nas!

- with ntfs fs, a global share is created and mounted in the default data partition /share/1000. The share name is the label name of the ntfs partition.

if partition used other fs, the partition is not handled by the firmware.
