About samba version, on your posted screen capture you can see you use samba4 on the nas...

About access issue, I see you use a nas name like xxxx.yyyy. So to avoid any issue with the dns suffix and the netbios service on your windows2008 (it is related with some settings). Can you make a test by using the nas ip instead of its cname. so \\xxx.yyy.zzz.www\OSIRIVault\PTK\
