Hi poilopil,

Sorry but I do not understand what you do

:scratch :scratch :scratch. There is no manual extract step to install the firmware on the NAS.

You just need to install fvdw-sl console package on your laptop and start it. After when you select the action "install fvdw-sl firmware", the console will load from your laptop all required files to install the firmware on your NAS.

:scratch
I think it is clear:
9 February 2016 release fvdw-sl console version 6.0

Installation.
To install it download the 4 rar files of the package of your choice and extract them in a directory of your choice where you want to install the fvdw-sl-console on your windows pc.
To start the program double click on the file with name "fvdw-sl-console.exe".
It will ask for password, for this version it is the number "33305"
The password protection is useful as with the program someone can easily erase all the data on you nas.

Hi

For a newbie, DO NOT PLAY with that. Flash uboot should be done only if the original bootloader does not support your disk and if you use a bad uboot file you will get a bricked NAS and no way to restore the original uboot ! :sob :sob :sob

To install fvdw-sl just select the action 'install fvdw-sl firmware'; read the related help

I think you have a pretty lazy behaviour...

I repeat, repeat, .... read the related help page and if you really did it, you would have found your answer:
Select the standalone kernel file to be loaded
The file must be present in the directory used by the tftp server, a window will popup to let you choose a file.
It will have name like this "UIMAGE-nnnnn-abcdef-STANDALONE-xx". In future release this name may change.
(nnnnn is kernel version abcdef is for which device , for example NWSP2CL means it is for lacie V2 family, KIRKWOOD for lacie devices with kirkwood processor, STANDALONE means it is a kernel that will run from RAM, xx is a version number)
