Release note fvdw-sl 16.1 01 Oct 2015:

16.1.1 upgrades
- php to version 5.6.6
- openssl to version1.0.1m
- smartctl to version tool 6.3
- mldonkey to version 3.1.5 (available via the new auto update feature)
- twonky media to version 8.0.2.0 (available via the new auto update feature)
- transmission client to version 2.84 (available via the new auto update feature)
- netatalk to version 3.1.7 and libnss-mdns-0.10
- new kernel linux 3.14.2 for 5big1, 2big1, isp1
- file system cleaned to release more free space: removed useless files,
- busybox 1.21.0 patched to set password via command line, removed the old version busybox 1.15

16.1.2 new features
- support for Lacie D2 network 2
- GPT support on SPD8020, nwsp1 (requires flashing of u-boot), this enable using disks bigger then 2TB on these devices
- support for RAID devices with USB disks (read help page for usb disks menu and the raid tutorials)
- added a web interface for mobile devices (phones) to make easier to use on small displays
- web interface is now fully cached to improve loading speed of menus
- firmware version management to remove the browser cache issue after upgrading (no longer need to clear the browser cache after upgrading future version)
- support for Microsoft Edge browser (Windows10)
- feature to upgrade directly some servers (mldonkey, twonky, transmission, torrent-flux, btsync, web-explorer) independent of a new firmware release
- SMART menu, support for long self-test
- added support for large file with apache server and php
- apache server uses now SHA256-signed SSL certificate instead of SHA1 SSL certificate which is deprecated (more detail: https://www.tbs-certificates.co.uk/FAQ/ ... _sha1.html).
Note: after upgrading to version 16.1, you must edit your existing certificate to encrypt it with the sha256 standard
- LAN setup, support for bonding 2 ethernet interface s (only with 5big 2 platform)
- shares and users lists are now sorted in the menus
- new easier way to log out to firmware web interface
- added a web console (a web based application that allows to execute shell commands directly from a browser)
- Transmission Client, download location can be changed.
- Root Certificate Authority, you can now import (or update) the last root certificate authorities list and allow you to make a full secure retrieving over https url with curl, wget, openssl and curl php
- new version of HDD temperature guard (improvement of temperature check, monitors all disks)
- new version with the feature "NAS standby with WOL": you can set now a standby time for auto-waking up the NAS
- new fan daemon for Lacie 5big1 and 2 (improvement of temperature check, monitors all disks, more effective cooling speed settings)
- modified host daemon, to prevent spin up of disk when it is in standby and improve its behaviour with raspberry platform
- improvement of support for raspberry pi model B and cloudbox (Removing some useless features)
- improvement of mail notification to pass the spam check of some smtp servers
- added: vnstat tool version 1.4
- added: lftp tool version 4.6.2
- support for Pyload version 0.4.9
- noflushd daemon optimized to spin down disks better

16.1.3 bug fixes
- Language, the web-interface failed to load some menus if you used Spanish language
- LED commands, with platform SPD8020 or nwsp1 have a wrong behaviour
- FTP server: the firmware failed to detect the public IP
- boot script, fixes several minor errors
- DDNS feature, did not allow special characters in the password
- wol daemon, firmware included a bad version (some times internal disk failed to spin down) and modified to eliminate failure to enter wol mode
- SMART menu, you can select no USB disk with platforms 5/2big1/2
- Backup menu, a running backup started from the backup menu, is killed if web server has to restart after editing its settings (webdav, memory level, https settings, ...)
- USB feature, if several disks had the same serial number the firmware failed to mount the data volume
- USB feature, with an USB hub only one volume can be rightly mounted if you select the "advanced mode"
- Addons volume, the firmware does not maintain the selected volume after rebooting if no technical share is stored on it
