Problem with Transmission after update firm 18.3

Hello, I have updated the firmware to version 18.3 and Transmission 3.0a. The problem appears that when I open transmission all my torrents have disappeared (no problem, they can be downloaded again) but if I try to access the Transmission menu it automatically closes immediately. I have restarted the server, tried from different browsers but I don't know how to solve it. Please help and thank you for your time and work.

Hi

Indeed it is amazing issue :scratch

It is not related with version 18.3 because version 18.3 changes nothing on transmission environment side and currently I used for a long time now transmission 3.00 with 18.2 and 18-3 on a kirkwood platform like you.
So my idea :
- some files are corrupted on the fw partitions...
- transmission binary is corrupted on the data partition

I suggest to investigate the first case. So go back on the previous fw version : open a shell window and check what file do you have in /lacie-boot
Code: Select all
ls /lacie-boot
if you have sda1boot do
Code: Select all
cd /lacie-boot
mv sda1boot sda2boot
check if it is ok by running again ls command (if you have sda2boot, do
Code: Select all
cd /lacie-boot
mv sda2boot sda1boot
)
Reboot the nas and you should have version 18.2. Upgrade again the firmware and then run transmission. See if you have still the same behaviour...

I just discovered that the problem comes from somewhere else, the damn browser. In Firefox it works perfectly. I'll have to delete something in Chrome. Sorry for the disturbances.

Ok so no issue with the firmware. Then you have to reinstall Chrome...
