Problem with SMB2

Problem with SMB2

Postby Diejeitor123 » Sat Jan 09, 2021 1:02 pm

Hello

I have a problem with this firmware and Windows 10, every time I try to access shared folders from windows it tells me that there is a problem since windows uses SMB2 or higher and the disk only has SMB1 and for security reasons it does not allow access. Is there a solution?

a greeting

Yes, you have to enable SMB1 in Windows 10.

in addition to wd9895,
or upgrade to samba 4x, that supports smb2 and smb3, however for that you have to become a donator

Use system management of the webinterface there you can find a tab to set samba version
