Random MAC address after reboot

Random MAC address after reboot

Postby uodazz » Sun Sep 06, 2020 2:55 pm

Hello,

I had problems with 18.2 version, reinstalled it, rewriting some sda partitions, but leaving partition with user files intact, and since then, after every reboot i get different mac address. How can i fix this?
Where can i find network config file to add mac address option?

Hi,

There is no change on this side with version 18.2, so it is not an issue with the last version :scratch

The firmware does not use this way to set the iface: configuration set directly on nas booting and it does not set a custom mac address and the iface keeps its hardware mac address. So that would mean you have an hardware issue
