LaCie Cloudbox does not want to install new firmware

Hi,

I tried a couple of power supplies. And the Led goes solid blue immediatly.
Disk seems to spin.
I do not have a Linux machine running by default, but if needed i can install a (virtual) one.

Kind regards,

Marcel

Ok. Let me know what you need. Just the device with a harddisk. Or also power supply?

Sorry to hijack thread but I have similar problem.

I have a cloudbox connected with cable (via router). I open the console, choose install, choose the kirkwood kernel and the uboot window opens and then I power on the cloudbox but nothing happens.

The boot is not interrupted and the cloudbox boots normally.

I have only 1 network adapter, no firewall, etc. I am using windows on a mac via parallels desktop if this makes any difference.

Any idea why the boot is not interrupted?

EDIT: Ok, problem solved by connecting directly without the router acting as a switch. Firmware up and running!

If boot is not interupted it means the interupting package is not received. That means the broadcasting on the NIC of your pc is not working as it should, I don't have a mac and I can not reproduce this setup to see whats the problem. Maybe you should check your virtual machine for windows setup on your mac Typically network interface in the VM should be wet to bridge and not to NAP.
