Hi

Indeed the firmware expects a fqdn on smtp server field.

I just patched a file so that it accepts now an ipv4 address.

To install it do
Code: Select all
plugout download 6944
tar -xf '/tmp/fvdw-sl-18-2-smtp-ip-23may2022.tgz' -C /

Hi Jocko sorry my long delay about this answer....
So, after your command the IP addres it is accepted.
Now after configure the ip address and right user/password, and click the TEST button, i've back an error (1).
The NAS it is Behind a NAT, to reach the internal Server SMTP.
From Pcap i see the request port 25 SYN, following from Syn-Ack and ACK, side NAS.
Then coming the welcome message side server SMTP, Then NAS answer with a ACK but immediattly after with a RST,ACK.

I think that some timeout it is activate here side NAS, maybe becasue the NAT traslation will be lost some milliseconds.

What do you think about? will be fix in some way?
thanks

Hi

Seems your nas are not on the same LAN (192.168) whereas your smtp server is on (172.30). So I assume there is another router. What you can try is to put your smtp server in the DMZ and check if this time it works.
If yes then you have to set some nat rules
