:thumbup yes your issue is fixed and not related with a bad sector...

You just have now to reboot the nas and later install the last roll-up patch for version 18-2

For plex you just have to read this topic : https://plugout.net/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=1999 and just run the command
Code: Select all
plexmediaserver
on terminal session (as you did it here)

Note: With version 18-2 and its roll-up patch no need to install the attached patches (they are required only for version 15.3 and 16.1)

Hi

I do not understand where you have issues with plex. I already wrote
Jocko wrote:Note: With version 18-2 and its roll-up patch no need to install the attached patches (they are required only for version 15.3 and 16.1)
and you just have to run the command 'plexmediaserver' from a terminal session which will explain the command options :scratch and then use the option 'install'
Jocko wrote:Now, after selecting the option 'install'
  • you must have in the addons folder :
    1. a new subfolder plexmediaserver
    2. if you did not yet install it, python add-on (auto-install)
  • a new private share plex-prog
  • a shell script 'plexmediaserver' in /usr/bin to control plex feature
  • a plex linux user account

To get access on pms web interface, use this URL : http://yournasme:32400/web

About share/user do you notice there is an help menu at each menu ? For example when you create a share like this https://plugout.net/fvdw-sl/.help/share_folders_a_hlp.htm?v=17.0a
There, I think you will find the expected information

Code: Select all
Synology package detected
extracting....
gzip: crc error
a crc error would mean the downloaded file was corrupted.

So you should repeat to install plex
