Hi

So it is the issue. This standalone kernel image is for a 2big1 (2big network 1)

For a d2nw2 you have to use the kirkwood version : UIMAGE-3142-KIRKWOOD-171-standalone

Hi

First I did notice you wrote you have a 2big network 2 in your first post
Hi i try to install fvdv on my lacie 2big2 network
because you posted it in the d2nw2 forum. So I moved your post in the right forum.

Then maybe when you ran the install script, you select wrongly the corresponding device according with my previous post...(select choice 1 kirkwood nwsp2, D2N2,...) instead of the choice "lacie kirkwood 2big2, 5big2"... In this case the script installs a bad kernel on the system disk. So you have to repeat the install action.

if i understand (i repeat for more safe)

i follow this step for my lacie 2big network 2 with 2 disk (2 tb green seagate)

1) start fwdv console 6
2) action start and load
3) select for 2 big 2 network UIMAGE-3142-KIRKWOOD-171-standalone
4) start automatic process that open telnet
5) user root pwd giveit2me
6) fvdw-sl programs
7) on the program configuration wich is the choice ???

Nope as a 2big2 and a d2nw2 are kirkwood platform, they use the same kernel.

So open a telnet terminal(action Standalone kernel, load and start), and post
Code: Select all
mkdir /sda7
mount /dev/sda7 /sda7
cat /sda7/boot.log

Other way, what does it happen if you keep one disk in the left slot ?

Sorry I did see your previous post.

So on your step 7) on the program configuration which is the choice ??? you have to select the first item "install fvdw-sl firmware on a hard disk".

So later on the first dialog, you have to select the 2d item "lacie kirkwood 2big2"
