Hi all,
New user here, a recent Win10 message about SMBv1 prompted me to look for an alternative firmware for my Lacie 2Bigv2 NAS a few days ago. I wanted to thank the developers for their fantastic job!
I followed the very detailed instructions and was able to install everything after a few reboots and disk exchanges. I was indeed quickly able to boot and load the fvdw-sl dashboard, but when I added the second disk, the Lacie Dashboard would come back. I guess I'll never know what was wrong, but thanks to the console I was able to prompt the gdisk commands I needed in order to erase the remaining Lacie bits of software. Eventually, I was able to fix everything, configure the RAID, and I am now configuring the other options
Installing a new firmware is definitely not a trivial thing, but you guys made it as easy as possible for new users, thanks a lot again!
Keep up the excellent work,
Cyril
PS: I just donated via Paypal, so I can test the add-ons as well
