Hi

Currently I do not yet succeed to migrate to bigsur. I have too many kernel panics on my virtual host to complete the update.

Oh for sure, i remember how hard was to virtualize even 10.5 and so on, given that Big Sur is just new and superclosed... would be a hell of a nightmare just to get to the desktop. I remember to me was just easier to straight up dual boot, and was a lot of work, took to me 2 weeks (of everyday work) and got there eventually. and it's not even a your problem but someone else!
If i could help in anyway i would be happy to, as an exemple, to skip this trouble, i could create easily a guest account on my machine, and give it access to you through TeamViewer in a matter of minutes, so you could just focus on the matter itself. Write me if that could help

Indeed...
Currently my issue is to retrieve the bigsur update package. Up to now I got a kernel panic before downloading it completely. But I go to succeed it.
I also noticed I need to upgrade my virtualbox to version 6.1.18 which has "multiple optimizations for BigSur"

You have to run these commands:
Code: Select all
wget http://plugout.net/firm_version/fvdw-sl-18-2-TMsize-over-smb-31mar2020.tgz -O /tmp/fvdw-sl-18-2-TMsize-over-smb-31mar2020.tgz
tar -xf /tmp/fvdw-sl-18-2-TMsize-over-smb-31mar2020.tgz -C /etc/finc

reboot the nas and TM size issue should be fixed

Hi

Indeed it is no longer available because a patch includes now the fix.
