Hi Jocko,

Yes, it works fine with the rsyncd user and password :)

Cannot easily find how to mark forum topics as Solved. How to do it?

Thank for you feedback.

To edit the topic subject, you just need to edit the first post. I made it

Another point: did it work even if without the symlink ('ssh') ?

Yes, I removed the /usr/bin/ssh symlink, even rebooted, and it still works fine. Thanks again!

Thank you for this last test.
Even if it is useless in this case we go to keep the symlink (on internet there are many how-to using ssh as client)

Soon we go to release a new patch for fixing some bugs (led behaviour, WOL nas standby, improve kernel stabiliy on heavy load usage,....).
The patch will contain also the improvement for rsync server. So you will be able to install it without reversing your current Nas state.

Hello, could you please share the solution?

I have almost the same problem. Unable to backup from remote 2big Network 2 and d2 Network 2. Alble to ssh from any internet device using rsyncd account.

Please to note without the patch you can already do it ! This patch is only a workaround to fix issue on some nas which do not implement fully the rsync daemon feature.

Hello, I would reply by an PM but I can not because I am a noob on this forum.

I obtained the PM but there is neither a link nor an attachment. So I do not know where to download the patch.

Indeed, I am able to sync from 2Big NAS without the patch but not from 2big Network 2. Different firmware, different implementation...

Hi

Indeed, by quoting my original pm, the url has been truncated...
So I edited my pm and you should see now the required link to download the package
