As it seems you are a MAC user, Fvdw-sl console is a windows app, we got never a feedback from some users if it may be run with a virtual machine hosted on a Mac.
So the first step, it to validate this
Note: another way is to plug in your Mac the first left disk when you look at the slots side and use the shell terminal. May be is the easiest way
So start fvdw-sl console, and run the action "Standalone kernel,load and start". If you use the latest version, you need to select as kernel image : UIMAGE-3142-KIRKWOOD-158-standalone Then you should be able to connect on the telnet window (login root and pwd: giveitme)
