nas can't be found on network (interface), that assistant does see it but it states address, mac address and firmware.

well, i shutdown nas again and power it up and all works fine now. but i don't do that upgrade again :)

Of course you can upgrade the firmware.

So go to the beginning

it says something about wrong file or smth

What filename and what extension was your uploaded file

You can try again and note exactly the error message.

Note: after downloading the files for version 16.1 from plugout, you need to unrar them before uploading

yes, sure you can upgrade if you can mess with all that code :) :) :)
so...here it go: first, as i have lacie 2big v2 i downloaded this version:
"fvdw-sl-16-1-xbig2-3oct2015.part1.rar" (and second part also)
then of course i unpacked and started web interface on nas...
i selected firmware upgrade, first step of uploading firmware went good, and then, at step two i got this error:
"Firmware upgrade step 2 started...
Firmware upgrade failed, upgrade process aborted, reason:
fw upgrade found platform file firmware package differs from that on running system"

and i didn't went any further with that...so, that's it.

So I understand the issue.

On version 15.3, we change some codes to have some common packages according with platforms with the next versions.

So you need first to update to version 15.3 with the package for 2big2 and then you should be able to update to version 16.1 with the package for xbig2 (5big2 or 2big2)

well, it seems i have no luck with this updates....this is with 15.3 update:

"Firmware upgrade step 2 started...
Firmware upgrade failed, upgrade process aborted, reason:
fw upgrade MD5 check failed firmware image is corrupt"

i unpacked it with rar 5.3 version. what next :dontknow

So your uploaded update package is corrupted.

Try again to upload it but do not use a wireless connexion.
