In any case, I don't know if I'm using LaCie firmware or yours. is there a command to figure this out?

Re: Front light blinking red and status Raid is degraded

Nope no information in your last output. So need to repeat resync attempt...

But I noticed some other issues :
- some sdc partitions are not raid member (because it is a cloned disk: sda)
- filesystem errors on md4

I'd rather you fix these issues before doing a new attempt. So do :
Code: Select all
mdadm --zero-superblock /dev/sdc5
mdadm --manage /dev/md3 --add /dev/sdc5

mdadm --zero-superblock /dev/sdc9
mdadm --manage /dev/md2 --add /dev/sdc9

mdadm --zero-superblock /dev/sdc8
mdadm --manage /dev/md1 --add /dev/sdc8

mdadm --zero-superblock /dev/sdc7
mdadm --manage /dev/md0 --add /dev/sdc7
then post
Code: Select all
cat /proc/mdstat
.

post
Code: Select all
mount
we have to unmount /dev/md4 to repair fs on it

No result for the first request

Code: Select all
[root@LaCie-5big ~]# mdadm --zero-superblock /dev/sdc5
mdadm: Couldn't open /dev/sdc5 for write - not zeroing
[root@LaCie-5big ~]# mdadm --manage /dev/md3 --add /dev/sdc5
mdadm: cannot find /dev/sdc5: No such file or directory
[root@LaCie-5big ~]# mdadm --zero-superblock /dev/sdc9
mdadm: Couldn't open /dev/sdc9 for write - not zeroing
[root@LaCie-5big ~]# mdadm --zero-superblock /dev/sdc8

[root@LaCie-5big ~]# mdadm --zero-superblock /dev/sdc7
mdadm: Couldn't open /dev/sdc7 for write - not zeroing

this is for the mount command

So I do not understand what is the current partition table on sdc.can you post
Code: Select all
gdisk -l /dev/sdc
.
It seems md4 is not mounted. So you can run the repair command
Code: Select all
xfs_repair -L /dev/md4

No luck with this command
Code: Select all
[root@LaCie-5big ~]# gdisk -l /dev/sdc
-sh: gdisk: command not found

the second one working, now i repeat your requested command

Code: Select all
[root@LaCie-5big ~]# cat /proc/mdstat

So gdisk is not available on lacie firmware (which is the firmware you used on the nas). Then post
Code: Select all
cat /proc/partitions|grep sdc

Then you have a bad partition table on the disk.

How did you set it ?

I advice to reset the disk (sdc) and make an hot plug. Then go to RAID manage menu to insert it on your raid

it's started again

What does it mean the last sentence resync=DELAYED?

So sdc has now a right partition table.
Glaven Clattuck wrote:What does it mean the last sentence resync=DELAYED?
Only one sync task can be running at the same time. As there is a sync job on md4, the one on md0 is delayed (the others raid1 sync task were running before md4 sync job)
