oke, probably it will fail when it starts to try to upload firmware file because of same issue with serverip
In that case start the installer on the command line as follow
Code: Select all
/fvdw-sl-installer-4-0.sh 192.168.1.185

it seems to have worked, he formatted the disk and is now loading the firmware. I think it will take a few minutes before it ends

A thousand thanks! it seems to work now. I only inserted one disk, I will try to insert the others too.
Are there other things I can do?
PS: all operations can be done directly via serial, without using telnet.

When inserting disk be sure they are empty, so not containing lacie firmware. If you use the old disk of lacie remove first all partitions, empty partition table

there is a non-soldered mini PCI slot in the motherboard. if I soldered the slot, could I put a wifi card? Does the system have the drivers to recognize it?

I don't know if the motherboard will support such a slot. But in any case no drivers are present in the firmware to use such a card. It would require a kernel recompile assuming the card is supported in mainline linux kernel. Furthermore some software tools are required to setup wifi in linux. Those are currently not included in the firmware.
