After capacitor replacement: ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED

After capacitor replacement: ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED

Postby Draftmancorp » Sun Feb 27, 2022 7:48 pm

Hi, after that bad experience (http://plugout.net/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=3616), I decided to check my other 2 Lacie 5Big Network2 as they have at last 8 years old both. And what a surprise... all two main board have the same supercapacitor at the limit with a stain of acid around it on the board.
Now, i'd clean the board and just replaced the supercapacitor with a new one. Start the 2 Nas and. All two start up with all Leds random game. Then i check the web interface.
One work greatly.
The other says ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED :scratch (this is my very first Lacie 5Big N2, we talk along about this one and it work greatly ever since today.)

so, my test, using a single lan cable between me and it:
- cmd ping its ok (ping 192.168.1.189) something respond greatly but...
- No fvdw console
- No manual check success
- No ssh or telnet connction accepted
- Web interface says ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED

What could it be? That capacitor is the one that kept volatile data such as system clock, ram etc ... may it has lost some configuration?
I think that using u-boot with standalone kernel load, may, i can reach it... but what can i do then?
Thanks.

@jocko it look like the "Forbidden poblem here -> http://plugout.net/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=3600 i had a few weeks ago, if you remember.
But is not the same error. The message is different. Not a forbidden but ERROR_
And this, is not that Nas.
The "forbidden...pour Nas it the death one :sob

Instead, this is my very first Nas, it never had this problem... :scratch
but i think that cutting the supercapacitor made the reset of memory... maybe.

Hi

Indeed if ping command is ok that would mean a software issue.

So do these commands http://plugout.net/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=3600&start=30#p36470
