Hi fvdw,

all LSO options are disabled, also jumbo packets.
I'll check speed with my other NAS drive (PC w. Openmediavault) this evening and report it.

NAS drive (old PC w. Openmediavault), SMB3.31 (Win10): around 100Mb/s. Slight difference in read/write. So my PC and network is in good condition.

2big2, FW18.2, samba 4, SMB3.31 (Win10): around 100Mb/s reading, writing 30Mb/s.

I checked router port, switch, cable, another PC. No success.

Do you mean MByte or Mbits per second? I fit is the windows 10 number it are MB/s

Assume it is MB/s
That is not so bad at all and the same as I reach on my 5big2. The difference with mediavault can be cpu speed and ram size.

I confirm have 100MB/s on read access is the right value and 30MB/s on write access is also good on a 5big2 (sometimes it may reach the value 35-38MB/s)

Thank you.
So all in line with expectations.
The speed comes down very hard when copying small files to NAS.
That a bit annoying but most likely caused by CPU and RAM.

Just check the Lacie FW by usinf FTP:
reading: ca. 90 Mb/s
writing: ca. 30-35 Mb/s

About small files, maybe some informations, here, https://www.ixsystems.com/community/threads/slow-cifs-performance-small-files.42990/

Conclusion still the CPU usage issue...

I agree you are right.
But I'm also pretty sure that the used samba 4 kernel is not the most optimized one.
