Reset root password? I can get into the web one...

Any chance there's a way to reset the root password? That or, perhaps it's the default but I can't seem to find it in this forum. Thanks!

You can set it in the ssh server menu.
The default is: giveit2me

Ps in help pages available for each menu you can find this info

Hi andjohn,

In addition with fvdw's post, if you forgot your custom root password, you can reset it by upgrading again the firmware.

Note : did you see my last post about Lychee ?

I did! That's awesome. I'm concerned that it might be too heavy for the NAS. Did you run it on yours? Did effect anything else on the NAS?

As for 'reapplying the upgrade' you're simply meaning do the last upgrade package?

Hi,

Yes I installed Lychee on my 5big2. There is no issue when the users browses the uploaded pics but you get a 100% cpu usage when you uploads files (when Lychee creates the thumbnails) and it may takes a long times if you upload several files at the same time.

So in my opinion, if you do not upload many pics and regularly, it is not issue to use Lychee on a 5big2.
